| Things to do in C'an Picafort |
As with most northern Majorcan resorts the beach is the biggest attraction with its beachside promenade that is lined with restaurants and bars. The nearest waterpark is 15km away in Alcudia (see below) but closer attractions include the C'an Picafort karting track (the biggest in Majorca) and if you're into horse riding then a great day can be had at the Rancho Grande. Water sports are very popular and the coast between C'an Picafort and Alcudia is a firm favourite with windsurfers and lessons are available for beginners. Hidropark Alcudia: Although not as big as the waterparks situated in the south of the island, the Hidropark is a good attraction for families of all ages. Apart from a wave pool there are twisting slides; bumpy slides; straight slides; kamakazi slides and a slide that's totally covered in for the extra fear factor. The younger children are also catered for with 2 children's pools with climbing frames and slides; trampolines; super golf; kids play area and restaurants. The usual associated facilities such as lockers, sunbeds, etc are all available to hire and there's a good choice of eateries. If on a tight budget you may wish to take a picnic lunch and drinks with you as the restaurant prices can be high.
